Reports Operations Supervisor
Job Description
Lead the reports operations team to provide trustworthy reports on a day-to-day basis, offer analytical insights on what these reports mean for the organization, and channel those insights back to operations for process improvements and long term performance management.
Reporting Operations
- Lead the team of Reports Analysts and Reports Specialists to prepare, validate and publish various reports on a daily basis. This includes reports across CBUs, regions and teams.
- Attend Operational Sync up meetings, business reviews, and other meetings, to represent the reporting team and provide inputs on various issues that come up. Also offer insights on how these reports can be applied to various functions and what other opportunities can be explored for better reporting.
- Initiate process improvements to current report generation processes and monitor the effect of those initiatives.
- Work closely with the Project Delivery team for reports automation, continuous quality assurance processes and new information requirements.
Analytics & Special Reporting Assignments
- Conducts data and analytically intensive tasks necessary to generate reports and develop analytical insights that enable critical problem solving.
- Assist in the preparation of Executive business review presentation materials (QBRs), and other special reports supplying necessary information and analysis.
- Conduct investigative reporting on certain problem areas to identify the root cause behind the issues and what solutions can be explored.
- Summarize and communicate analytic findings, insights and recommendations via executive level summary presentations to support management decision making.
Performance Management
- Develop strategies to increase the effectiveness of these reports on an operational, tactical and strategic perspective.
- Participate in the design & refinement of performance measures for the support organization. This could mean the creation of new reports or new ways of presenting existing reports.
- Have a deep understanding of the organization’s broad information landscape covering various tools, systems and processes globally. And provide insights on how the reports can be best structured for efficiency.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Accounting or similar degrees
- Ability to perform detailed analysis, exhibits strong attention to detail, and able to quickly identify areas for improvement
- Experience in leading and motivating a team of diverse individuals
- Ability to work at multiple levels in the organization with proven track record of influencing peers.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills and customer service attitude
- Knowledge in project management methodologies
- Experience and success in designing and implementing new processes and programs
- Ability and willingness to work on a shifting schedule (with priority on US business hours)
- Ability and willingness to travel
