Senior Security Analyst

Job Description

Regional Trend Labs is a newly formed strategic organization to counter complex threats, promote end user awareness, thought leadership and threat intelligence (sample sourcing). We are currently looking for highly motivated technical engineers to join this winning team. This position will be focused on the activities of the Asia Pacific and Australia/NZ Business Unit (APAC).

The APAC Regional TrendLabs Security Analyst will perform several duties including:

• Handle technical escalations from Technical Threat Support primarily from our Priority and Priority Advantage teams but also from our Enterprise and SMB Customers on occasion.
• Handle the proactive threat related activities
• Monitor cases from region for any high severity or high impact malware
• Create reports on the case and threat activity within the region
• Disseminate threat or core technology related information to the Technical Support team
• Understand region's threat training needs and conduct threat training as needed.
• Assist with set up and maintenance of local malware sourcing systems
• Test TM Products effectiveness against emerging threats
• Documents processes and best practices related to threat processing

Requirements

• BS degree plus 3+ years industry experience or equivalent
• 3+ years experience in Anti-Virus and/or security industry, understanding of Virus Outbreak Lifecycle a must
• Advanced Technical Certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CSSIP, etc) are highly recommended
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• International/Global Support and/or services consulting experience highly desirable
• Expert level understanding of internet security, advanced networking, and malware/spyware/antispam solutions
• Strong self-motivated technical and analytical individuals
• Desire to learn new technologies and complex threat behaviors
• Trend Micro product expertise and malware knowledge is highly desired
• Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must (completed accent neutralization courses is a plus)
• Must be fluent in English and comfortable dealing with English customers (mandarin is a plus)
• Malware capture / analysis, creation of threat countermeasures, understanding of systems forensics and threat expertise is a plus
• Possible international travel required
