Services Project Manager (formerly known as Process Owner)

Basic Job Description

The Services Project Manager is responsible for the overall successful implementation of a new service project. This individual will play an important role in translating the business requirements into sustainable services delivered by the Anti-Malware group in TrendLabs and will function as the interface between the project owners (Product JMs, Solution PMs) and the implementing teams (i.e., JIT, QA, AU, IS Team). The Services Project Manager must manage the requirements and expectations across various teams within and outside TrendLabs to ensure the success delivery of the desired results. The Service Project Manager will also acts as the services portfolio manager of TrendLabs Anti-Malware team, scoping new services, sustain services, and end-of-service.

General Job Responsibilities

  • Closely collaborate with Project Owners (internal or external JM or PMs) to clarify and understand the objectives and the business requirements; then manage their expectations based on the implementation plan.
  • Translate the business requirements into service implementation requirements and work with various stakeholders using the deployment plan
  • Manage the project, from planning until deployment of new services or process improvements and end-of-service process to the operations team.
  • Continuously improve existing processes
 


Requirements

  • B.S. degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. MBA is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of current services and operations of the Anti-Malware team in TrendLabs.
  • Successful track record in managing projects.
  • Thinking skills, particularly scenario analysis and risk mitigation.
  • Above average communication skills, with particular strength in confidently articulating technical processes to people from various levels in the organization, and proactive project-related communication.
  • Stakeholder management -- ability to relate to, educate, and influence teams and stakeholders are critical skills for the Services Project Manager.
