Technical Marketing Writer

Job Description

The Technical Marketing Writer plays a key role in marketing TrendLabs and its expertise and services. Specifically, the AV Technical Writer:

• Produces various marketing materials (blog entries, in-depth articles, data reports, marketing kits) about recent malware and security incidents, threat trends, and core technologies that protect users from these threats
• Coordinates with global and regional marketing and sales groups within Trend Micro to understand their marketing needs
• Coordinates with other teams in TrendLabs to gather technical details about threats, data indicators, and Trend Micro solutions, and consolidates these information into a coherent marketing material packaged to address marketing requirements.
• Provides day-to-day support to team in maintaining the Trend Micro Virus Encyclopedia. This entails converting technical information to more presentable and readable entries in the Virus Encyclopedia.

Requirement

• A college degree holder (preferably in IT, Communications, or Arts)
• With background in IT (required)
• Strong technical and creative writing skills in English (required)
• Confident English speaker
• Available and willing to work on shifting schedules (required)
• With at least 1 year experience in technical marketing/writing
• Young, energetic, and creative
• Familiar with the Web and surrounding technology
• With high interest in technology and lots of marketing savvy
• With knowledge in HTML and use of WYSIWYG editors
• Efficient computer user
• With strong coordination skills
