(Sr.) SQA Engineer

Department: SQA, RD Groups

Job Description

  1. Identify areas for process improvement, research or develop needed methodology, tool, process or mechanism, and pilot to prove the value of improvement.
  2. Review project planning, monitor project progress, help identify risks and provide improvement suggestions
  3. Help project manager to tailor the Project Development process when necessary.
  4. Help establishing quality goal and provide high visibility of the project status in terms of achieving schedule and quality goals according to plan
  5. Establish the SQA plan with the project manager, and own the execution of SQA plan
  6. Improve the product quality over time through the process maturity
  7. Independently audit of software process compliance and feedback to project manager, group project manager, and VP of Product Development.
  8. Education and training of Trend Development Process and best practices.

Job Requirements

Must

  1. MS/BS majored in Computer Science or related fields.
  2. 4+ years experience in software development or project management.
  3. Knowledge & experience in metrics/statistics and its application in software industry
  4. Experience in process improvement and quality management
  5. Self-motivated and able to work independently
  6. Strong inter-personal skills in communication with different levels and coordination among functional groups and product development teams
  7. Excellent in both English & Chinese

Desired (Nice to Have)

  1. Familiar with different software development life cycles, including Agile software development methodologies (eg. Scrum, eXtreme, etc.)
  2. 5+ years experience in software development industry, involving different software development roles such as architect, developer, programmer, tester, configuration management, product management, service support, HIE, etc.
  3. Experience in developing process documents together with related forms and templates.
  4. Experience with software organizational assessment using industrial standards (eg. CMMI, ISO 17799, etc)
  5. Knowledge of software tools, methodology, and industry best practices.
  6. Knowledge of standards in software industry such as CMMI, ISO, PMP, CISSP, etc
